Two men arrested for dismemberement-murder Arrest made today (Jan 3) in central Halmstad Two men were arrested in Halmstad under suspicion of murder. A 46 year old man is suspected of murdering Marcus Norén, and a 28 year old man is suspected for aiding the murder. The older man has admitted some of the points. This night the body of Marcus Norén was carried out of an apartement in central Halmstad. The police were secretive directly after the arrest, but at a press conference during Friday evening the chief investigator Lars Hamrén could confirm that the older man is facing a charge of murder, and the younger man the charge of aiding a murder. At the same time as the press conference, a car arrived at an apartment
in central Halmstad. The remains of Marcus Norén were carried out
and taken to the morgue.
The night before the police had received some very interesting pieces of information. This became conclusive for solving the case. During the day the police put on a search for the two men, and placed the apartment under surveillance. Around 2:00 pm the two men arrived. They were immediately arrested and taken to the police station in Halmstad. The two suspects are formerly known by the police – both in cases of crimes of violence. The older man admitted to some points during the early interrogations, while the younger man denies involvement in any crime. During the Friday evening press conference, the police dismissed all speculations of connections to the role playing games that Marcus Norén played. Furthermore there is no information pointing towards any previous connection between the the two suspect and Marcus Norén. (SIDEBAR)The story this far December 27. Marcus Norén, 22, leaves hir place of work at a video rental in the center of Halmstad at around 9.00 pm. At midnight he returns to recieve the keys to the store. After this he visits several bars in Halmstad, ending up at the restaurant La Cocaracha. December 28. At 3.40 am Marcus Norén knocks on the window of the closed resturant La Cocaracha. This is the last time he is seen alive. December 30. A 10y.o. boy and his 13 y.o. sister finds a severed human head frozen in the ice of the Nissan river. December 31. Rescue divers find additional body parts and pieces of clothing in the river. January 1. The police hopes to gain valuable clues from the cellphone of Marcus Norén.
